My name is Tyler Shewbert. I am currently working as an electrical designer at Cammisa and Wipf in San Francisco, an MEP firm that specializes in healthcare facilities and other campus facilities.

I finished up my undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, with a focus on power in June of 2018. I worked with Dr. Keith Corzine’s lab at UCSC and was been involved in several projects involving power electronics, electric machines, and magnetics. I was also an intern and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission working at a wastewater treatment facility. I also have bartended for eight years.

My personal academics interests include magnetics and nuclear-based space propulsion, particularly the use of magnetic nozzles for plasma jets.

Electronic Technician            Smart Power Group, Santa Cruz

2017-Current

Designed and simulated components, particularly power converters and inverters. Sourcing and purchasing of necessary lab equipment and components. Fabrication and testing of various designs. Designing PCB boards and limited DSP programming for basic control of power converters using IGBTs.

Bartender                              Waterfront Restaurant, San Francisco

2010-Current

Provided solid customer service at a full-service bar that also served food. Knowledgeable of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer. Helped in development of cocktail menu. Responsible for maintaining all the computer systems in the restaurant.
